FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- A judge has rescheduled a court hearing in Republican lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Richie Farmer's divorce case for next month.
Franklin County Family Court Judge Squire Williams reset the hearing for July 12, at which time he may set a trial date.
A scheduling conflict led to the cancellation of a hearing Tuesday morning.
Rebecca Farmer filed for divorce in April, saying their marriage is broken. She gave no reason why.
Richie Farmer, the state agriculture commissioner and a former University of Kentucky basketball star, is the running mate of Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams.
After the divorce petition was filed, Richie Farmer appealed for privacy in what he termed a "private family matter." GOP opponents didn't make the pending divorce an issue in the May primary election that Williams won.
