The411 with Sherlene Shanklin: In celebration of Pastor Tim Findley, Jr. and the Kingdom Fellowship Christian Life Center's fourth anniversary they are hosting a huge celebration. This year's special guest is Pastor Marvin Winans. He's been in the media in the past couple of weeks because he gave the eulogy for pop icon Whitney Houston. Houston’s home going celebration was seen all over the country and millions of people were captivated by how the service was conducted.
Pastor Findley, Jr and his committee secured the Grammy award winning artist before that funeral, but I did ask him why did he decide to go with Winans. He says "I was led to Pastor Winans this year because I have been encouraged by the lessons of his journey, inspired by his solidified character and humility. He exemplifies the character, integrity, and heart of an under-Shepherd. He is truly an example to not only myself but countless other Pastors around the world!"
Pastor Findley is very happy with the progress and growth of his young church and he says they are blessed. "From the beginning of my Pastorate of Kingdom Fellowship, I've surrendered my life to God to be an effective steward of this great vision. In just four years, I've seen the Lord perform His word concerning our church in so many miraculous ways, and I'm convinced that this is just the beginning."
The 4th year Pastor & Church anniversary is on Friday, March 2nd at 7:30 p.m. at the Fern Valley Hotel & Conference Center located at 2715 Fern Valley Road. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Special music by Louisville’s own, Joe Leavell with One Purpose and Marquita Danzy of Philadelphia, PA. For more information go to www.kingdomfellowshiplife.org.
