The411 with Sherlene Shanklin: Entrepreneur, Actor and Hip Hop Mogul Master P will be in Louisville to work on a documentary. It will be a candid look inside the legal process from the courtroom to being behind bars not knowing what the future may hold for you or the family they have left to fend for themselves.
In the announcement on Tuesday, Master P and Christopher 2X will talk about the collaboration. They will give you a candid look inside the Kentucky Department of Corrections, youth violence and the viscous cycle it sometimes carries.
Master P will also release a video link to the media on Tuesday at a news conference showing some of the video he's already compiled. You may remember the star has been in Louisville a few times, so you will see some of those moments from time to time on video.
I was present when he spoke to the families of homicide victims. He talked about losing his own brother and it sparked a conversation.
Prior to the meeting, as he was walking to the gathering and a young child was hit by a car. Master P went to the child's side to make sure he was okay. He just stood there quietly talking to the child until EMS was able transport him to the hospital. Once he knew the child was in good hands he proceeded to the area where families patiently awaited his arrival.
I do know they hope to have the film project completed by November of this year. After the news conference, I will have additional information that I can pass along.
