The411 with Sherlene Shanklin: Dudley Products Louisville officially opens office in downtown Louisville

The411 with Sherlene Shanklin:  Dudley Products Louisville, a leader in urban hair care and cosmetics is hosting a day of education, empowerment and entertainment. Join Dr. Joe L. Dudley Sr., Co-founder of the Dudley brand at 9:00 a.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Tami Charles, owner of Dudley Products Louisville, Mayor Greg Fischer’s office and more community and business leaders will be present to celebrate the opening of the official store at The Heyburn Bldg., 332 West Broadway, Suite 888. It all takes place on Monday, December 10th.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. there will be Business training, a Hair Color class with B-Mart Beauty Supply a special vendor for licensed professionals. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a hair fashion show fundraiser by local stylists, barbers and students with a debut performance by the Dudley Q Band which is open to the public. Proceeds will be donated to Dudley Beauty School Scholarship fund. At 10:00 p.m. is a Beauty Rocks networking event. The one day workshop will take place at The Venue at 510 located at 510 West Broadway. The day-long event will cater to stylists, cosmetologists and barbers. There will be vendors on hand to help industry professionals secure their financial future and life & health insurance options.

Charles announced last week, that Ursula Dudley Oglesby, President Dudley Corp LLC will be the keynote speaker. Oglesby was a graduating Harvard classmate with President Barack Obama. They continue to be personal friends today. Oglesby will lead the discussion on Profit: A Little Word.
Oglesby’s father and the co-founder of the Dudley brand, Dr. Joe L. Dudley, Sr. has confirmed his participation and will do the business address. Dudley Sr. and Oglesby are scheduled to speak around 10:00 a.m.

Charles says “Dudley has always been in partnership with the cosmetologist and helping to build business for licensed professional is building financial future for Kentucky.”
At 3:00 p.m. There will be a trade show and Color Class: The Hues of Red taught by Erica Bond, Dudley National Educator followed by a Holiday Hair Shopping Extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. (Open to the public)
