This summer why not take a road trip to Palmyra, Indiana to visit one of our area vineyards. The Grateful Goat Vineyard and Winery is what they call a VIP, vision in progress. The vineyard was started by John and Lindsay Fouts who had the vision and after hard work and dedication their labor of love was created. The vineyard and winery officially opened last October. The couple also supports other small businesses by offering goat milk soap, grilling sauces, bread mixes and specialty grape seed oils just to name a few of the items in their gift shop.
If you are looking for a small vineyard to visit for wine tastings and other events try an area business just 35 minutes from downtown Louisville. They are located at 1404 W. Palmyra Road. Their number is 812-364-4649. You can also visit their website for hours of operation at www.gratefulgoat.com. Grateful Goat sent me photos that I could share with our viewers. If you have an event and/or story idea send it to: the411@whas11.com.
