The411: There's an event that caters to the Hispanic community. It's the Adelante Latin Derby Bash. The event will be at the Mellwood Arts Center on Friday, April 30th. The Red Carpet event will debut a new Latin Orchestra "Kontumbao". The 12 member band will open for new Latin Bachata sensation"Carlos & Alejandra". Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are only $35 in advance and $45 at the door. I spoke with the organizer Hamilton and he's really excited about the event and what the future holds. The proceeds benefit The Adelante Hispanic Achievers charity for children. I asked what did Adelante mean and Hamilton says it a step forward, going to the next level.
