The411:  There will be a lot of Kentucky Derby events going on in the next week.  There's several things you have to consider if you are going to a celebrity driven event.  Many of these celebrities are coming from other states and they really don't have any local ties so they can cancel at the drop of the hat.  I've even heard of them making it all the way to their airport and receiving a call for a part in a movie.  Honestly, which one would you chose the movie or a party?   It's not done all of the time but it does happen.  They could have a scheduling conflict.  Don't forget the fight in Las Vegas is going to be big and many are trying to find ways to attend both.  The star may get an unexpected invitation to something else at the last minute.  I have a pretty good relationship with some of the hottest publicists, managers, promoters and event managers across the country.  They are running into the problem that their clients might see someone out and they get an invite to an event. The celebrity says yes but they never checked with management to make sure they are available.  Also, remember for every five mentioned one might fall into this category.  So, don't be disappointed when someone publicizes a specific celebrity and you don't see them.
If you have a confirmed celebrity that you are sure is coming to the Kentucky Derby send me your information to: the411@whas11.com.
