The411:  Welcome to this week's The411.  She became the first African American and the first woman elected to the Kentucky State Senate now her peers will recognize her many achievements by renaming a portion of the Shawnee Expressway in her honor.
Senator Georgia Davis Powers sponsored many bills during her 21 year tenure.  She sponsored bills like prohibiting employment discrimination, sex and age discrimination and fair housing legislation.  Still today she's an advocate for many causes which include the NAACP.  The unveiling ceremony for the  Georgia Davis Powers Expressway is Wednesday, June 16th at the First Avenue Baptist Church at 2pm.
And this weekend its Legally Blonde: The Musical.  Sorority co-ed Elle Woods puts down the credit cards and picks up the books as she heads to Harvard Law.  The situations in this comedy will never go out of style and many can relate to her experience.
Legally Blonde: The Musical runs through Sunday at the Kentucky Center.
If you have an event send it to The411@whas11.com.  I'm Sherlene Shanklin with WHAS11 News.
