There’s a new generation of alumni that are representing the City of Louisville when it comes to sports. Central High School welcomes back NFL free safety C.J. Spillman. The San Diego Charger just completed his rookie season wearing #41. Spillman played alongside LaDainian Tomlinson, Antonio Gates and Philip Rivers.
Spillman will be at Central Tuesday afternoon speaking to students on how he beat the odds with so many temptations and obstacles in front of them. He wants to open the eyes of troubled teens that it’s okay to dream. He wants to inspire students to get back on track by giving them hope that they too can go to college. Spillman attended Marshall University where he made a name for himself starting 12 games as a free safety making 131 tackles which ranked him third in Conference USA and 12th in the nation.
