Down the Stretch with Sherlene Shanklin:  There will be all types of events during Derby week that the whole family can enjoy but there's one that's funny, creative and it has a bed on wheels with adults dressed in costumes pushing it.  If you have never seen the Kentucky Derby Festival's Great Bed Race you are missing a treat.

KDF calls it one of the most light hearted races in the country.  The race consist of a team of five people.  There's four people that are called pushers and one person steers the bed is the rider.  They race around Broadbent Arena pushing their decorated bed in a 600 yard dash to the finish line.
You can see more than 40 teams tonight at 7:00 p.m. with thousands of fans cheering them on.  This year's theme is "Where the Wild Things Are".  The event is free with a 2014 Pegasus Pin but parking at the Kentucky Expo Center is $8 per vehicle.  To see a schedule of events go to KDF.org.
