(WAHS11) -- One thing we've noticed in our 23 years of profiling the matches at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Kentuckiana is the commitment from young volunteers, who are in their twenties and thirties with full time jobs.

You would think with all of the distractions today they would be too busy we're glad to report and it’s just not the case.

With every imaginable game spinning around you and a festive atmosphere, 28-year-old Michael Fetter and his little brother, 8-year-old Jaleb Chadwell, are learning that the bond is strong in their fairly young match.

Jaleb is a focused young man who loves math at school and thinks the world of Michael.

WHAS11’s Doug Proffitt sat down and talked with Michael and Jaleb as they took a break from some fun and found Michael has the view you need when you become a big brother.

Jaleb comes from a loving family and he told me he does one thing when Michael picks him up for a day.

Jaleb says he wants to be an archaeologist. Michael says he can see it happening.

This is the big time of year for the local office of Big Brothers Big Sisters. The Bowl for Kids Sake is now underway through April!

Get your team together to raise money and you may win great prizes including iPods.

The staff is in their Gardiner Lane offices right now to help you get started. Call them at 1-877-588-2300.
