LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It can sometimes be difficult to find fun activities for middle school students. One young couple is mentoring a 12-year-old middle school student from Portland. The  outings have become the young boy's great escape.

Tim Riggle is a budding violinist who attends Westport Middle School. He lives in the Portland neighborhood and comes from a big family of five brothers and sisters. Three cousins also live with him.

Corrine works at Big Brothers Big Sisters and ironically she normally sets up matches for volunteers. She then decided to become a mentor in her spare time.

Click on the video player above to see their story and to hear about Riggle's dream of becoming a pastor.

Are you interested in become a mentor? Call Big Brothers Big Sisters at 1-877-588-2300 to get started.
