(WHAS11) - A Louisville youngster got some great news a few months ago. After waiting and waiting for a Big Brother, a match came his way.
WHAS11 News first introduced Kentuckiana to this high energy young man last fall.
At the time we said whoever became his big brother needed a good pair of running shoes and his new big brother agrees!
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Louisville, takes a lot of time and patience for a volunteer. This is the case for Big Brother James Strange. He has been mentoring 8-year-old Cameron Konz, who is described as a fireball of a young man.
Cameron told us that he wants to be a police officer, when he grows up. Cameron’s mother is thrilled with the choice that Big Brothers made for her son.
She wanted someone that could keep up with her son, and believes James is up to the task. Cameron also believes that he and James will be friends forever.
If you want to help a young person become a great adult, call right now. They are in their Louisville office at this hour, by the phones right to get you started.
