LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A group lead by community activist Chris 2X announced an advocacy campaign to bring an end to the violence in west Louisville.
He highlighted the homicide numbers in 2008 when 73 people were killed. He said efforts since then have helped but more needs to be done.
2X said the shootings on May 17th at 32nd and Kentucky that left three dead highlighted the need for a community effort to stop the violence.
The mayor and other community leaders have also started efforts.
