LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville teenager will receive a big honor Monday night from the Metro Disability Coalition.
Thirteen-year-old Alyssa Walker will receive a Breaking Barriers Spotlight Award. She's also being honored at Westport Middle School with the "most improved award.”
Alyssa's father said despite her struggle with cerebral palsy -- which led to deafness, blindness, epilepsy and developmental delays -- she continues to amaze people with her spirit and determination.
