LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - A 37-member violence prevention work group named by Louisville Mayor Fischer is now in place. The group's goal is to reduce violence in West Louisville.
The group includes business, civic, government, religious, and neighborhood leaders.
They will hold their first meeting June 18 at Metro Hall.
One of the first goals will be developing an inventory of all the programs that provide services to young people in West Louisville and determine what's already being done.
