LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Sunday marks two years since two little girls were killed in a hit-and-run near the University of Louisville. Riley Lawrence and Claudia Wadlington were killed as they were crossing an intersection.
The girls had just left a swimming lesson when Kenielle Finch hit them with his car and drove off. Finch was fleeing from police when it happened. In March, he was sentenced to three life sentences, but will only serve one of them because of a Kentucky law.
He will be eligible for parole in 20 years. Riley and Claudia's families are now pursuing a civil lawsuit against Finch and his parole officers.
