As I work my last weekend anchor shift on air this weekend --- I thought about all that I have to be thankful for and a lot to look forward to.

Next week I begin a new shift from 2:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starting Sept. 12, I will co-anchor a new show with Renee Murphy. I am so very excited for this opportunity and I hope you will join us each day at 4 p.m. After the show, you’ll see me reporting for all of our newscasts especially at 11 p.m.

My first weekend off, August 27, I’ll be strutting down a runway for a good cause. Dress for Success. The reader’s of the Voice Tribune honored me with a nomination for “Best Dressed”. "I wonder if they saw me wondering the aisles of Wal-Mart?" I still need our viewers to vote for me until August 27. Just go to www.Voice-Tribune.com/bestdressed/voting.

If you are a fan of the Today’s Woman’s magazine, You can read an article about me in the September Issue written by the lovely Gioia Patton.

I think folks will see and hopefully learn about a different side of me soon too.  On September 10, I will be live on our Saturday morning show on WHAS talking about my work with the South Oldham Lion’s Club and all the good things they are doing at this year’s Crestwood Festival. All proceeds from this year’s festival will go to help schools in Oldham County buy more AEDs. It’s a cause near and dear to my heart. My son Jack’s story has done so much to raise awareness about undiagnosed heart conditions and I feel so touched to receive your emails and calls every day. Keep them coming. Please go to www.claudiacoffeyheartproject.org to find out more. Lots more exciting things coming this fall. I will keep you posted.
