LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Thousands of people are gearing up for Friday’s Kentucky Oaks, but Thursday night, thousands of people packed downtown Louisville for the Pegasus Parade.
The Pegasus Parade is the Derby Festival's longest-running event.
The parade featured dozens of floats, inflatibles, and celebrities like the grand marshals of the parade, Diane Lane and Penny Chenery.
Lane will play Chenery in a Disney movie which chronicles the journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner, Secretariat.
