The Weekend Gardener was created by the late WHAS personality Fred Wiche.
Fred taught a lot of us how to grow things and the one segment viewers asked the most about was one that aired 12-years-ago this week, about tomatoes.
At the station we can tell you that, to this day, we follow this advice from Fred and it is perfect; it keeps the weeds away and you get amazing tomatoes.
