(WHAS11) -- Terry Meiners can be seen on Good Morning Kentuckiana every Friday, heard on 84 WHAS radio and he is even celebrating a big milestone!
Terry is celebrating 25 years as the afternoon host on WHAS radio. He has also appeared on WHAS11 for 25 years.
Employees from both the radio and TV station had a chance to wish him well Thursday afternoon and Tony Vanetti hosted a roast.
Terry talked about when he first started.
"I’m going to be 54 in a couple of days...I thought I would quit by age 40...because no mature man could sit on the radio and make funny voices for the rest of their life...surely I will be mature enough to go find a real job,” Meiners said. “…Seriously the first years I worked here...I wore a tie because I wanted my children to think I had a job....ha ha."
Terry got a visit from former U of L Head Coach Denny Crum and former Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson was also at Thursday’s luncheon.
