LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Local high school students took time out of their school day on Wednesday to give a day.
It's all part of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer's initiative to dedicate this week to community service around town.
Students from Trinity High School and Presentation Academy cleaned up the Meadow View Cemetery off Dixie Highway.
The cemetery is used for burials for those who are homeless or have no family.
The Mayor's Give a Day wraps up on Sunday.
The goal is to break Louisville's own record for caring with at least 120,000 volunteers and acts of compassion.
