(WHAS 11)--Former UK basketball star Derek Anderson is getting involved in the fight to make Kentucky smoke free.
Anderson will be one of hundreds of people at a rally in Frankfort this morning supporting legislation for a State-Wide Smoking Ban.
More than 34 percent of Kentucky communities are already smoke free.
The legislation would ban smoking across the state in public places including offices, bars and restaurants.
Anderson says he's getting involved because his father died from lung cancer.
