LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)- A Louisville couple got a lasting memory of their last moments together before one of them deploys to Iraq.
Specialist Kurtis Neels and his wife participated in the heartsapart.org photo shoot which is a website company that provides a free photo shoot to couples who are about to be deployed.
"People don’t understand just because we have the Internet you can get on to talk to your family...but it’s still nice to have those pictures with you, when you wake up in the morning, it helps alot."
Specialist Neels says as much as he hates taking pictures it is all worth it.
Local photographers Will and Alyssa Paro are providing the free photo session. They have had a great response from those who have already participated in the program.
