BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A memorial plaque will be dedicated to slain Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis, Tuesday.

The plaque will be mounted outside the Bardstown Police Department.

Officer Ellis was shot and killed memorial day weekend.

He pulled over on Bluegrass Parkway, in Nelson County to remove some tree limbs that were blocking the road, that's when he was ambushed.
   
Investigators believe more than one person is responsible for his murder.

No arrests have been made.
