LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Demolition of the Sheppard Square public housing units in Louisville starts next week.
All the families that lived in Sheppard Square were relocated either to other housing developments or section eight housing.
A $22 million federal grant is helping fund the re-development project.
The old housing project will be replaced by a mixed-income neighborhood with new amenities and energy efficient housing.
