BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) -- Searchers are fanning out across an Ohio state park trying to learn what happened to a 17-year-old northern Kentucky girl who went missing nearly four weeks ago.
Authorities told The Kentucky Enquirer they tracked cell phone usage of a man who had been with Paige Johnson. They say they were led to East Fork State Park near Batavia, a 10,000-acre park east of Cincinnati.
Johnson, of Florence, Ky., was last seen Sept. 23. The male acquaintance told police he dropped Johnson off at about 1 a.m. to visit a friend. Johnson’s mother hasn’t heard from the teen since, and the girl did not make it to the friend’s home.
Clermont County sheriff’s deputies and Covington, Ky., police planned to search the park Wednesday with dogs.
