LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Construction is scheduled to begin at I-64 and Hurstbourne parkway on Monday, August 6. Road work and lane closures are expected at exit 15 in Jeffersontown.
The first phase of construction will be to add a second left turn lane from Hurstbourne Parkway to Eastbound I-64. Lane closures are possible on weekdays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and throughout the entire weekend.
This is all part of a $4.5 million project to expand the interchange. Work is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2013.
About 60,000 vehicles travel through the interchange daily.
