LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Rapper Lil' Wayne is seemingly taking the world by storm. Last month, he surpassed Elvis Presely as having the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 List. Now, he is soaring in the fashion world, with the launch of his "Truk Fit" clothing line earlier this year.

Lil' Wayne will make a personal appearance at the Jefferson Mall Dillard's to launch new items for his clothing line.

The Dillards store sold more "Truk Fit" clothing than any other location in the country.

"The customers around this area love the product. They love Lil' Wayne. They love what he's done, so it wasn't hard," said Dillard's Manager Chris Sargent. "It's nice for the little guys to win and sell more than anybody else."

Truk Fit is definitely targeted toward the younger generation, mostly young men between 15 and 25-years-old.

The Jefferson Mall Dillard's expects to sell between $60,000 and $70,000 worth of merchandise before the promotion is over this weekend.

Donte Means is one of Lil' Wayne's biggest fans. Means is one of 10 people who will get to meet Lil' Wayne face to face after spending at least $500 on Truk Fit merchandise.

"I don't know what I'm gonna say to him. I don't even know. I might have to write down something. I hope I don't freeze up," said Means.

300 other fans who spend at least $150 dollars on Truk Fit will get wrist bands, getting them into a V.I.P. area Saturday.

A near riot broke out at the same mall last December, over a limited supply of Nike Air shoes.

The mall and store are beefing up security to make sure the same thing doesn't happen Saturday.

"At a certain time, we're gonna have to shut it all down because we cater to the V.I.P. customers," said Sargent. "We have a lot of security working in the store on that day and we've also teamed up with the police force and there's gonna be a lot of security outside the store too."
