CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Animal lovers and advocates will rally Tuesday in an effort to save the animal shelter in Taylor County, Ky.
Just last week an announcement was made that the shelter would be stop public adoptions and will operate as a holding facility to warehouse animals for the county.
Advocates with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be at the protest to call for some changes, including new staffing and better care and treatment of all animals at the shelter.
The rally, set for 11 a.m. at the shelter on Hodgenville Road in Campbellsville, will also be an adoption event.
