LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)- For Monday’s Project Green, a U of L research team and the Olmsted Parks Conservancy are coming together to investigate the effects of honeysuckle.
The group is studying places like Cherokee and Seneca parks.
It is a four year study funded by the Environmental Protection Agency.
They have removed invasive honeysuckle from one area of the park to see how the plants and soils react to the removal.
The group is beginning to see some plants coming back.
