LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - For those who are trying to be more green and eco-friendly when choosing what you eat, be sure to think about what you are eating on as well.
Louisville Stoneware is a green pottery company that only uses the most basic ingredients. They take clay from Indiana and western Kentucky, add chemical free water and air and then fire it in a kiln. It is an organic practice that Louisville Stoneware has not changed in more than 200 years.
"In a world of newer, faster, cheaper, when we're all in a rush hour and eating meals on the go, it's nice to know you can sit down with your family and support the local artists and eat food that is eco-friendly and not hazardous to your children. And the stoneware is a compliment to that because it is environmentally friendly," says Lisa Mullins-Master of Louisville Stoneware.
For more information, be sure to tune in to Great Day Live on November 21. Louisville Stoneware will be talking about how you can make your own pottery and ornaments for the holidays.
