Professionals share career lessons in 'Wish I Knew' series

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (News Release) -- Louisville executives share lessons they learned throughout their careers with young professionals in a six part series called "Wish I Knew."

The Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) will host the first "Wish I Knew Series" on August 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Green Building at 732 East Market Street.

The six part series will share lessons learned by members of YPAL's Advisory Council over the course of their careers.
 
Donna Mitchell from Northwestern Mutual and John Kurnick from the KFC Yum! Center will discuss networking, board memberships, and getting involved in the community in the presentation titled “Raising Your Value”.
 
Future scheduled speakers include Mike Moll (PNC Bank), Tom Monahan (Business First), Vernon Foster (University of Louisville), Gil Holland (The Green Building), Tray Cockrell (Humana), Cathy Tang (KFC Corporation), Chris Brice (Northwestern Mutual), Cynthia Knapek (Leadership Louisville Center) and TJ Graven (Brown-Forman).
 
Future topics in the series include Unspoken Business Protocol, Finances and Investing in Yourself, Interviewing and Office Politics, Work-Life Balance, and Transferring Skills.
 
Tickets are $10 for each installment in the series, or $30 for an all-series pass.  Tickets and more information on the event is available on YPAL’s website.
