LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A new survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation reports the price of turkey is up three percent from 2011.
The cost of turkey will have a modest impact on the overall cost of Thanksgiving dinner, with the average 10 serving meal costing just under $50.
According to experts, the increased price is likely due to competing meats selling at higher prices which increases demand.
