Hodgenville, Ky. (WHAS11)- LaRue County is where the National Guard remains Thursday morning, trying to keep looters out and to help residents start to rebuild.
The National Weather Service reports an EF-2 tornado touched down in the downtown area.
With winds of up to 125 miles per hour, the storm tore through the Citizens Union Bank, then moved through a nearby neighborhood.
Another EF-1 twister formed west of Hodgenville.
In all, 19 homes were destroyed in LaRue County.
Emergency officials estimate clean up could take weeks.
