LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville’s vacant home problem is the focus of a public forum Monday afternoon at the downtown branch of the Louisville Free Public Library.
This is the first meeting of its kind for VAP-STAT, short for Vacant and Abandoned Properties Statistics.
The aim is to give the public a chance to see and track the mayor’s efforts to deal with empty properties.
Mayor Greg Fischer wants to reduce abandoned properties by 40 percent within the next two years.
The meeting is set for 4 p.m. in the Centennial Room of the library.
