(WHAS11) - The mayor of Jeffersonville is weighing in on a resolution asking for the construction on one of the new Ohio River bridges to be delayed.
The resolution passed Monday evening and calls for a delay on the Downtown Bridge until a funding plan without tolls can be worked out. The plan still recommends building the East End bridge immediately.
Mayor Mike Moore says he does not believe the resolution will change anything.
The resolution now heads to the Federal Highway Administration. Resolutions like this one in the past have not delayed construction.
