I love and miss Lynn's as if it was my child, but for many reasons that are very complex and don't fit a sound bite, it abruptly ended.
I mourn the loss of what I hoped Lynn's represented; celebration, fun, happiness, and the unexpected. In the past week and a half, I have been unavailable for comment. I have been grieving the loss of a special part of my life. I know I will always have my detractors or those that say the culture wasn't good, but from the bottom of my heart I worked every day to create a fair, fun and sustainable work environment. I really believe that people should be as happy at work as in their personal lives and have tried to bring this about.
I'm sure there are those that can point to many situations where I failed and am sorry for that but I never stopped trying to bring joy to Louisville, both inside Lynn's Paradise Cafe and throughout the city.
In some future time when I am emotionally able to explain the abrupt closing I will if I am able. It is at a juncture of a new evolution that I hope will be even better. Right now it is at a point where I have high hopes of something wonderful happening there.
