Louisville Orchestra names new music director

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Officials with the Louisville Orchestra on Monday introduced a new, highly acclaimed, music director that will be taking over for the upcoming performance season.

Newly appointed executive director, Andrew Kipe, introduced Terry Abrams as the director of the orchestra. 

During a press conference on Monday, Abrams said Louisville is the place he wanted to be.

He has previously conducted the Detroit Symphony and the Mav Symphony in Budapes, among other.
