Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Here's what's happening in Louisville!


Family Day at Churchill Downs

The Downs' Paddock Plaza will be transformed into a birthday-themed playground for Family Adventure Day.

There'll be face painters, a petting zoo, a pony carousel and a variety of inflatables.

Other family activities includes a hula hoop contest, corn hole, mini golf and stick horse races.

Tickets for family day are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 4 to 12 in ages. Under four is free.

Gates open at 11:30 a.m.


Blood Drives

The American Red Cross is hosting three blood drives today throughout the Louisville area.

- at Northeast Christitan Church on Brownsboro Road from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

- at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church on Lewiston Drive from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

- at Mount Everest General Baptist Church on Mount Everest Drive from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
