Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Here's what's happening in Louisville!

Giraffe Day at Zoo

Did you know today is World Giraffe Day?

If you love giraffes, you can celebrate with the Louisville Zoo by attending feedings, learning from zoo keepers facts about giraffes at 11:30 and 2:30 and your kids can even take home coloring pages.

Pints for Pets

Gerstle's Place at 3801 Frankfort Avenue is hosting Pints for Pets!

The dog-friendly event features drink specials and adoptable dogs from the Humane Society.

The event  donates 6 percent of proceeds to the Help Me Heal Fund, which pays for medical and behavioral help for shelter dogs.

In addition to dogs and brews, there will be food, music, vendor booths and games.

Pints for Pets runs from noon until 7 p.m.

Beargrass Christian Church Farmer's Market

One of the largest farmer's markets in the Louisville area is happening today.

It's taking place from 8 a.m. until noon at the Beargrass Christian Church in St. Matthews.

The market has tons of fresh fruit, veggies, breads and delightful concoctions like blueberry and agave jam!
