Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Here's what's happening in Louisville!

Madison Regatta

It's not to late to celebrate Independence Day with the Madison Regatta. This year's big event continues through Sunday  with more racing on July 5.

In addition to the regatta, there are concerts scheduled every night this weekend along with air shows and, of course, fireworks!

Jerry Bruckheimer in Kentucky

He's produced movies such as "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Armageddon" and "Beverly Hills Cop", and he's from right here in Kentuckiana.

A new book details 40 years in the life of Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and it’s titled “Jerry Bruckheimer: When Lightning Strikes - Four Decades of Filmmaking". The book looks at his entire body of work.

He will be at Nettie Jarvis Antiques in Bloomfield on July 5 for a book signing from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Crescent Hill Event

Quite the celebration in Crescent Hill going on for the Fourth of July.

July 5 is the last day of the two-day festival to celebrate Independence Day. There will be live music, an art fair featuring over 80 artists, kids activities, a silent auction and a pet show!
