LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Volunteers are still needed around Kentuckiana for “National Day of Service” projects.

More than 500 volunteers have already signed up for various projects throughout the Louisville Metro area including painting, trash pick-up, and beautification.

Peter Hayes from Service for Peace says they’re still in need of volunteers at the ParkHill Community Center and everyone is encouraged to come out.

The ParkHill Community Center is located at 1703 South 13th and projects will be starting from 8 A.M. to noon.

Volunteers from Man Up and Woman Up, Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, and the Community Foundation of Louisville have already signed up.
