(WHAS11) A local group is working to fight animal abuse in Kentucky.
The Shamrock Pet Foundation’s Arrow Fund team recently rescued female Peek-A-Boo, a Shepherd mix, who had been shot twice by a 22 Caliber gun.
She has since had surgery and is getting around much better.
The Arrow Fund team was created after they rescued Aiden, a dog who had been shot with an arrow and has since found a new home.
“They are abused by human hands and just discarded; we’re really trying to make a difference by networking with different groups,” said a Shamrock spokesperson.
The Arrow Fund is also searching for more vets to get involved in helping these pets.
They said no one has been charged in either of the abuse cases.
