(WHAS11) - World War II vets have been through a lot. They've survived the depression and the war with a sense of purpose and dignity.
One Southern Indiana couple wanted to leave behind a legacy of helping children.
Sherald and Dorothy Baker chose to do that through the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The Bakers’ gift will help special needs children in Southern Indiana for years to come.
They donated over $400,000 to the Crusade.
