(WHAS11) -- Jeffersonville's JB Ogle Animal Shelter has plans to become a no-kill shelter by August of 2013.

The shelter is partnering with No-Kill Louisville to help them achieve the goal.

Each year, the shelter takes in about 2,500 pets. Now they are asking for the public's help because they need people to foster kittens and other animals who will become part of the no-kill program.

To contact the shelter or see some of the animals available, check out their webpage here.
