LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – History came to life in Louisville on Friday.
Students at Semple Elementary School created a living wax museum to celebrate Black History and Women’s History Months.
The students portrayed some of history’s most prominent women and African Americans, including Barack Obama, Rosa Parks and Muhammad Ali.
Teachers at Semple said the living wax museum is a way to connect to history in way that students will remember.
The kids spent about three weeks on the project – researching their subject and writing a speech and creating a costume.
