LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The spirit of Christmas was in full swing in Saint Matthews Sunday night.

Bethel-St. Paul church on Shelbyville Road and Willis Avenue is putting on their annual tradition of putting on a   living nativity.

The public could come by and hear the story of Christ's birth, complete with live actors and live animals.

"It's become a tradition. We have many people who tell us now that they came as children and now they're bringing their children, so its really something that we want to keep going and we just enjoy it every year," said Jennifer Wheeler.

The live nativity is free and runs until 8 pm Sunday night.
