LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - Louisville Gas and Electric is getting another fine dropped on them for incidents at the Cane Run Road plant.
It is a $24,000 fine from the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District.
Neighbors have complained about coal ash leaving the plant's landfill and coming into the nearby residential area and a strong odor of sulfur.
Last August, LG&E was fined $4,000 for similar issues.
The utility company has until July 27 to get everything up to code or they could face more fines.
LG&E says they can't comment because they are reviewing the documents.
