LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - The largest watermelon in the nation is at The Kentucky State Fair.
The blue ribbon watermelon weighed in at 273.30 lbs.
That makes it one of the five largest watermelons ever grown and the largest on record in the United States in this current growing season.
The farmer behind the watermelon is Frank Mudd who is from Meade County, Ky.
